Material Recommendation
A
6061 Aluminum ✓ BEST
Lightweight (~4.5 lbs/frame), rust-proof, no painting needed, professional look. Standard at metal suppliers. Slightly more $/lb but saves finishing cost. Recommended for this application.
B
Powder-Coated Steel
Cheaper material cost, but heavier (~12 lbs) and must be powder coated to prevent rust. Good for bulk shop production. Best if local welder is quoting.
C
Galvanized Steel
Rust resistant without coating. Harder to weld cleanly. Not recommended — heavier with no real advantage over aluminum at this size.

Who to Contact
① Local Metal Fab / Welding Shop
Search "aluminum welding fabrication Houston TX" or "metal fab Rosenberg TX." Bring this drawing. Request quote for 100-unit run. Best for fast turnaround, US quality, easy revisions.
② Online Metal Supplier (Cut-to-size)
metals4u.com, OnlineMetals.com, MetalSupermarkets.com — order pre-cut U-channel and tube stock, then have local welder assemble.
③ Alibaba Manufacturer
Search: "aluminum u-channel display frame custom" or "aluminum sign frame manufacturer." Ask for 100pc MOQ sample quote. Ship to Houston port. Lead time: 4–6 weeks.

GotPrint.com, BuildASign.com, SignWarehouse.com, or local Houston sign shop. Order 4mm coroplast at 63"×22" with full-bleed UV print.
Assembly Sequence For fabricator reference
1
Cut Rails: Saw two pieces of 1"×1" aluminum U-channel to exactly 63". Slots must be consistent width (1/4" internal).
2
Cut Posts: Saw two pieces of 1"×1" aluminum square tube to 20" (22" overall frame height minus 2× 1" rail height).
3
Cut Tabs: Cut three 2"×2" squares from 1/8" aluminum flat plate. Drill 3/8" center hole in each. Deburr edges.
4
Orient Rails: Top rail — slot faces DOWN. Bottom rail — slot faces UP. Ensure channels are parallel and aligned.
5
Weld / Rivet Corners: Attach side posts to left and right ends of both rails. Square up to 90° and tack-weld or use pop rivets (4 joints total per frame).
6
Weld Mounting Tabs: Weld 3 tabs to OUTSIDE face of bottom rail at positions: ~8" from left, center (31.5"), ~8" from right. Holes face outward.
7
Finish: Grind welds smooth. Light sand or anodize if desired. Aluminum needs no paint — natural finish works.
8
Test Insert: Slide a 63"×22" coroplast sheet in from the open end. Should slide smoothly. Install U-bolts through tabs to mount on truck bed rail.
